Formed in Palm Beach County, The unparalleled rap group, Tha Fam was made out of what one could only describe as divine intervention. The name, Tha Fam was derived from the concept of street gangs; two of the members of Tha Fam, Conviction, And Ley; were involved in gangs at the time. Long time friend, and group member, Uked-Narron suggested that they create their own street gang, but one dedicated to music and money, and so it began. Tha Fam was successful in making their street dreams a reality. They manage to strike an interest every where they performed, Landing themselves three offers for a record deal, but always refusing to take any of the Indie labels up on their offers. Things seem to be going smoothly. That is until they began to look death in his eyes, on the daily basis. Conviction having just escaped facing years in prison; Ley, and Uked-Narron began to question the morality of what Tha Fam represented; Having been raised in the church for most of their lives; Tha Fam , Said that they just couldn???t justify their actions to their guilty conscience any more. So after many trials and much discussion; The Fam decided to take a turn in another direction, one with a greater destiny than either of them could even begin to imagine. The Fam; now a group consecrated to God; Is now making music with a style that???s all their own. A new genre; Ghetto Gospel, Hitting the streets with a unique style of beat making, and singing by Conviction, a northern flow courtesy of Uked-Narron, and a sick down south flavor by none other than Ley The Great; Topped with a heart changing anointing from God. The Fam is changing the face of Hip-Hop forever. |
